Background: The objective of carrying out this project was on the commercial application of welding techniques in developing products and specifically understand the use and automation of plasma arc welding. The author intended to focus on the plasma arc parameters necessary in optimizing the cutting and welding processes and also the identify the effect of each parameter to the overall process and make necessary conclusion and recommendation. Additionally, he was to analyze the automation of the processes and its effect on the production industries.
